The Exhibitors:
Scan had one of the biggest stands at the LAN that was shared with Cooler Master, Intel and XFX. This was also where
Crysis was demoed too. It was featured on a selection of PCs with 17" TFTs and also a couple of PCs connected to two large LCD TVs so that everyone else could watch the action.
Antec was showing off its 850W and 1000W PSUs and cases, and Asus was also holding its own S.T.A.L.K.E.R. tournament known as WGT or World GameMaster Tournament. Recently, Asus signed a bundling deal with THQ and the company was showing off a whole host of THQ games on a range of its gaming notebooks.
Sierra was also present at the event, showing off
World in Conflict - a game that is giving Tim serious withdrawal symptoms since the beta finished.
Ultra Violet (
not Violent -- Ed) Machines, a new system builder building stylish high-end gaming PCs, was there showing of its latest machines that came complete with custom paint jobs, window appliqués and tricked out overclocked internals. The paint jobs on some of the machines were a little
in your face and may not be to everyone's tastes - we'd be interested in hearing your feedback on these.
